Marmite and Cheese Bread
Another no need to knead bread. Super easy to make too. We love marmite and cheese on toast, so I thought why not put it in a bread!
2 Tablespoons Marmite
200 ml boiling water
200 ml Cool water
3 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
500 grams Sharpham Park spelt flour
2 sachets dried yeast
125 grams non dairy grated cheese – I use Violife. (100g for inside the mixture, 25g for on top)
Set your oven to fan assist 50 degrees. Use a little olive oil to grease a loaf tin (I use a Pyrex glass one). Take the 2 tablespoons of marmite and add it to 200ml of boiling water. Stir until it is mixed in. Add the 200ml of cool water to the marmite mixture. Your overall temperature of the water should be warm so to activate the yeast. In a bowl, add the olive oil, marmite water, spelt flour and dried yeast. Mix together then add the 100g of grated cheese. Mix to incorporate. Spoon into the loaf tin, add the remaining 25g of grated cheese on the top and put in the oven until it has risen (approximately 15-20 minutes) Once it has risen, turn up the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for about 20-25 minutes until the top is golden. Take out of the oven and allow to cool. Remove from the tin and enjoy.
