Healthy Raw Granola
I love Granola. It is one of my favourite breakfasts. I love the sweet comforting crunchiness. It’s a great topping for fruit, yoghurt, chia seeds or just a handful out of the jar as a little snack. A word of warning though – it’s addictive
Ingredients
3 cups organic oats
1 cups coconut flakes
½ cup chia seeds
1 cup nuts of choice (flaked almonds, chopped pecans or chopped hazlenuts)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 teaspoons maple syrup or coconut palm syrup
Method
Mix together all the dry ingredients. Mix together the vanilla extract with the syrup and add to the dry ingredients. I like to use my hands now and massage all the ingredients together until completely combined. Spread out onto baking parchment and use either a dehydrator or a very low oven (50 degrees centigrade) until dry. Store in an airtight glass jar.
